The BC Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry has announced today 7 Nov 2020 a few restrictions that directly affect our conduct of the Air Cadet Program. All indoor gatherings outside of immediate households along with indoor group physical activities have been restricted, direction from our chain of command is to postpone and or cancel all in-door in-person training from today until the 23 Nov of member, this may be extended based on the developing situation between now and then. Because of the hard work the cadets and adult staff there is minimal effect to our planned training. Our range and fitness assessment training scheduled for the 8 Nov will now be conduct outdoors and only contain the fitness testing component, a level specific range shoot will be scheduled later in the year to still get the Level 4 cadets the opportunity to practise their marksmanship skills. Secondly our in-person training night scheduled for the 16th of Nov will be changed to a virtually only training night. The updated training plan to accommodate both of these changes will be communicated directly to the instructors and level officers. From all the adult staff we would like to again thank all of our cadets and parents for their continued understanding and flexibility. More updates once we have them. Cadets please reach out to your level officers if you have any specific questions. Questions can be directed to the Commanding Officer, Capt Khan, Z |
