We will be conducting a Commanding Officers parade to inspect the squadron and award cadets who have excelled and worked hard over the past few weeks.
NCO's - 1800 Fall In Cadets - 1820 Fall in Parade Practice Parents - Seated by 1915 Parade - Starts at 1920 Awards 1. NCO TC - Completion Certificates 2. Early level completion (for those that were successful at the NCO TC) 3. Promotions 4. Music Level 5. Top cadet for the month for each flight. After parade cadets will be participating in a Fitness Session at the squadron and will be required to bring sports gear to change in post CO's parade. When: 3 March 2019 Where: 1754 Davie St, Vancouver, BC Who: ALL Cadets Bring: Backpack, Water Bottle, Pen, Paper Were: Fitness Gear, Rain Jacket if required. Description Cadets from the North Shore will be participating in an amazing race style event through out the downtown core. Cadets will meet at the above location and a bicycle will be provided. Cadets will be broken into teams and will compete in a "race" style event to various locations. Once there they will be tested and have to solve small puzzles to get the next location details in the race. Questions to Lt Khan, E Activity: 609 Basketball Tournament
Who: Signed up Cadets When: Saturday March 2nd, 2019 Where: 6600 Williams Rd, Richmond, BC V7E 2H2, Canada Dress: Appropriate sports attire attire OIC: CI Wu, K Description 525 will participate in the annual multi-unit basketball tournament hosted by 609 RCACS. Numerous other air cadet units in the Vancouver area will also be participating in the tournament. The tournament will be held in a rented school gymnasium at 6600 Williams Road, Richmond, BC. Each unit may submit a team of cadets. Interested cadets should sign up on the sign-up sheet at the squadron and speak FCpl Wang, K To ensure fairness, tournament rules specify requirements for team composition in terms of age and gender. The selection of team members will be made after the deadline above. Cadets shall dress in appropriate civilian sports gear. Lunch will not be provided; all cadets should bring a lunch, water bottle and snacks. Activity: NCO Training Course 2019
Who: ALL Cadets Where: 1513 Forbes Ave, Cadet Building When: 1800 15 Feb 2019 – 1400 18 Feb 2019 Were: See Kit List + Permission Form Description Cadets are invited to attend 103's Multi Squadron all weekend training course. The Training will consist of three courses. Junior for all Level 2 cadets, Senior for all Level 3 cadets, Instructor for all Level 4 cadets and PRO-D For all Level 5 cadets that are not staffing. This is mandatory for all Level 2,3,4 and 5 cadets please sign up of the sign up board in the cadet building. Course cadets to arrive on Friday at 1800hrs and be picked up at 1600hrs on Monday. Kit lists and permission forms will be handed out on the start of February. They are also attached to this announcment. For all parents there will be a graduation parade for the course at 1330 in the 103 armories. Speak to Capt Khan, Zakir if you have any questions if you cannot attend. Level Testing will begin at 0915 on the morning of Sat 09 Feb at the Navy League BLD at 1555 Forbes Ave, North Vancouver. Cadets will arrive in civi clothing with their instrument and music/theory. Once they have been tested they will be free to depart. Should take no longer then 2 hours.
