When Can I Join? Typically the best time to join is in September. Applications are accepted from September to April.
What Are the Requirements to Join? To be a cadet you must be:
12 to 18 years of age
Canadian citizen or legal resident
proof of BC Medical Services Plan or equivalent medical insurance
able to participate in normal physical activity
The Commanding Officer of the squadron will review and approve all membership applications. Approval from the Regional Cadet Support Unit (RCSU) is required when there is uncertainty as to whether an application meets the basic membership standards or an application requires special consideration such as:
application from a youth who is not yet a legal resident of Canada; and
application from a youth who has a medical, physical or mental condition specified in Part 2 of the CF 1158 that cannot be accommodated.
Where Do I Join? Cadets meets Monday nights during the school year between 7pm and 9pm. Due to COVID-19, the squadron will be at various training locations through out the 2020 training year. Please contact usfor more details.
What Is My First Day Like? You will be provided with a tour of the squadron's facilities and an adult staff member will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the program, and assist you with completing the required paperwork.
What Do I Need to Bring?
BC services card or medical coverage,
Birth certificate, passport or proof of residency
Completed membership application form
