To celebrate and acknowledge the hard work of our cadet over the last training year the squadron will be hosting a virtual Annual Ceremonial Review.

Dress: Appropriate Civilian Attire

Cadets, please log in using the normal link we have used for the training year for our Monday night sessions. Contact your level officers if you have any concerns or questions.

A reminder that Virtual CTC application are due by midnight 13 May 2021 to OCdt Wu.

Please see the attached letter from the Commanding Officer of the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific) Lieutenant Commander S. ​Gresmak.

The Canadian Cadet Organization has signed a contract with Microsoft to provide a collaboration platform for the organization which will be called Cadet365. Cadets selected for virtual CTCs will be using the platform over the summer, with the remainder of cadets receiving their accounts for the 2021/2022 training year. 

In order to ensure a seamless roll out of this program at 525, it is imperative that all cadet confirm that they have a personal email address attached to their file FORTRESS. We have received specific direction from national that this email is NOT to be an email for the parents, but a personal email owned by the cadet. Cadet365 accounts are being autogenerated from the information provided in FORTRESS with information being sent directly to the provided email accounts. The officers at 525 are not involved in the process and will be unable to help once the process has begun. All requests for assistance will be managed through a national help desk.

Please note that the information contained in FORTRESS is the information that was submitted parents during the annual validation in September. If you are unsure if you have a personal email address on file in FORTRESS or need to change the email from that of your parents, please contact OCdt Wu before May 31st. If you have a sibling in cadets who you share an email with, you will need to ensure that you have separate emails on file for an account to be created for each one of you.

A reminder that registration is open for virtual CTCs. RCSU has advised that they will begin loading cadets on courses on May 10th with offers beginning to be sent to cadets on the 14th of May.

Virtual CTCs this summer will be run using CADET365 accounts which will be created using the information in the FORTRESS database. Please ensure that the following information is up to date:

1. an email address that the cadet has access to (this will be used for the CADET365 platform, so it must not be a shared email address with another cadet);
2. the best phone number to contact the cadet at; and
3. the phone number for guardians during the summer (will be used as the summer contact number)

If you are unsure if your information on fortress is correct, please contact OCdt Wu as soon as possible.

Applications for Summer training for staff cadets and course cadets are now open. Space for the courses will be limited and prompt sign up will be required. 

Please contact the Admin O to be considered for an assigned course, see the attached document reference the Summer Training CAP. This CAP will be happening in conjunction with the opportunity for the past announced summer virtual training opportunities.
