The Air Cadet program operates within a partnership agreement between the Department of National Defense, and the Air Cadet League, a civilian volunteer organization.

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is the local unit of the Air Cadet League. Made up of parents and other interested community members at the squadron, the SSC is an integral supporter of all unit activities.
