Fall Thunder is the name given to 525 first field training exercise for the 2019/2020 Training Year. This exercise is MANDATORY for all level 1 and 2 cadets along with any cadets accelerated this past CO's parade. Each cadet is required to complete two survival exercises per year. This is the first opportunity for the mentioned level's. Training will be conducted over a three day period from Nov 22nd till Nov 24. Please read the following points to better prepare for the training exercise. Cadets in Level 1 and 2 along with this years accelerated cadets shall bring all required items identified in the kit list below on our regular parade night on Nov 18. Cadets will be dressed in the hiking clothing / surplus survival clothing that they would be wearing during the weekend. Cadets will receive instruction on how to properly pack and take care of their kit, hiking techniques and general field training exercise tips and tricks. Cadets are then to bring their required kit and completed permission forms to meet the bus at the 525 LHQ on Friday at 1615hrs where they will be transported up to the training area. Activity: Remembrance Day Parade Who: ALL 525 Cadets Where: Royal Canadian Legion, West Vancouver Branch 60 & West Vancouver Cenotaph When: Monday, November 11th 2019 - 1000to 1300 Bring: Full Uniform. NCOIC: WO1 Yeung OIC: Capt Khan, Z Description Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Canada since the end of the First World War to remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty. As an Air Cadet, this parade is mandatory for ALL cadets. Cadets will meet at the Royal Canadian Legion, West Vancouver Branch 60 located at 580 18th Street in West Vancouver at the following timings: 1. Cenotaph Guard & aide de comps 0900hrs 2. Legion Work Party 0900hrs 3. Cadets without assignments No later than (NLT) 1000 hrs 4. Parade Positions: NLT 0920hrs For event security, many roads will be closed around the legion and cenotaph. Please ensure you allow yourself time to park outside the perimeter and walk to the legion. Cadet will have eaten lunch prior to arriving as no meals or snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to stay for the parade; cadets will be able to depart by 1300 after the parade returns to the Legion. Dress will be your full uniform with your dress shift, pants, tie, tunic, wedge and boots for those who have it. For those that don’t have a uniform please dress with black pants and a while dress shift. Please dress for the weather as well.
